Health Coaching Tops Employees’ Wish List for Achieving Wellness Goals -- Employees choose personal health coach over fitness technology 3:1

CHICAGO – Aug. 9, 2016 – More than one-third of employees list personal health coaching as their top More than one-third of employees list personal health coaching as their top motivator in reaching wellness goals, according to a new Tell It Now(SM) survey from ComPsych® Corporation. Thirty-seven percent of employees said a personal coach would most motivate them to achieve wellness goals, while just 10 percent said technology (apps and fitness devices) would most help them reach goals. Employees were asked:  Which of the following would most motivate you to achieve your wellness goals? 

  • 37 percent said -- A personal coach 
  • 18 percent said -- A discount on health insurance
  • 12 percent said -- A gift card 
  • 11 percent said -- A deposit to my Flexible Spending Account
  • 10 percent said – Technology such as app or fitness device
  • 8 percent said -- A company contest 
  • 4 percent said -- Other
