Almost 200 HR, employment and legal experts will offer presentations on a wide range of topics at the 2017 SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition being held in New Orleans, June 18- 21. About 15,000 participants are expected to attend.
Some of the concurrent sessions speakers shared insight into the focus of their presentations.
"Recent ADA rulings are spelling trouble for employers. We are seeing many more splits in the way the law has been interpreted in different courts, such as differing opinions on obesity as a health condition or how job reassignment should work," said Matt Morris, VP of FMLASource at ComPsych Corporation. Morris will present "Avoiding the Wrath of the EEOC: Five Steps for Staying ADA-Compliant" on June 19.
