Three Out of Five Employees Lack Time or Motivation to Stick to New Year’s Health Resolutions, According to ComPsych Survey 

CHICAGO – Jan. 16, 2018 – Some 64 percent of employees – three out of five – say they lack the time or motivation to persist with their New Year’s resolutions, according to Tell It NowSM survey results released from ComPsych today. Another 15 percent say invitations to dinner and drinks are a major obstacle to reaching health goals in the new year. 

Employees were asked:  What’s the hardest part about sticking to New Year’s health resolutions?

35 percent said “Finding time to go to the gym / prep healthy meals, etc.”
29 percent said “Lack of motivation in general”
15 percent said “Distractions such as dinner / drinks invitations”
9 percent said “Unhealthy food at work and at home”
7 percent said “Being influenced by friends’ / family’s / coworkers’ unhealthy habits”
5 percent said “Other”
